A propos du Film Paterson de Jim Jarmush dans cette analyse:

“This film is the exact opposite of Wallace’s thought.

Wallace did not talk about the fact that we are all at the center of our story but that we are imposing a scenario on ourselves. Jim Jarmush has simply made an aesthetic and pseudo-poetic film that claims to accept our slave state, and our repetitive machine lives. A poet is not someone who writes poems. A poet is a narrator who wakes us up, it is a subversive activity against the frozen thoughts of post-modern society. Jarmush teaches us in his film to love submission and resignation, it is the mark of a quiet bourgeois who has forgotten, or who has not undersatnd what is an artist. He does not get to Wallace’s ankle, making the comparison is a kick in the face of Wallace’s works.”
